Three symbolisms of the anti-Christ

A Little Horn

The First way that God depicts the anti-Christ is as follows.

I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things (Blasphemies).  Daniel 7:8

Three Aspects of the Little Horn

The Little Horn is a symbolism that the anti-Christ is a Kingdom or a sovereign nation; this is shown because the first Ten Horns are Kingdoms and Nations, so this little horn coming up within those makes it as they are.

The Eyes of a Man, has historically been symbolic of a person with insights into the spirit world.  In relation to the anti-Christ, this could be correct, but it could just be that God uses this to indicate that there is a man at the head of this nation, but no one man but a continuation of men over the years, which is as it would be with the leaders of all of the nations and kingdoms.  I see God as using this symbolism however as a way of showing us that this leader is different from the leaders of the other kingdoms, he is not a king but a leader determined not by blood lines but in some other way.

The mouth that speaks Blasphemies is to show us that the anti-Christ and its succession of its leaders are in direct opposition to the laws of God, or as God tells us…

Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.  II Thessalonians 2:4

A Beast

The second way that God depicts the anti-Christ is as A beast coming out of a churning violent sea.

And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.  Revelation 13:1

A Beast is symbolic of a nation, just as the horn was, but a beast is more than just a sovereign nation but a nation of imperial power and stature.  If you recall the four beasts from Daniel came up out of the tumultuous sea and they were all four of them Empires not just nations, whereas the ten kingdoms that fill the void left by the fall of the Roman imperial government God shows only as horns, not as beasts revealing that they were not imperial in their original nature.

This can be shown to be true in history, in that even the kings of Europe were subservient to the Roman Catholic Church, and feared the Pope, which is to say that the anti-Christ as depicted as a Beast is no longer a little nation but an Imperial power which the nations of Europe give allegiance to.

A Harlot Woman

The third symbolism of the anti-Christ is that of a Harlot Woman.

So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.  Revelation 17:3

First Purpose

The symbolism of depicting the anti-Christ as a woman has two distinct purposes for God.

And upon her forehead was a name written, Mystery, Babylon the Great, the mother of harlots and abominations of the Earth.  Revelation 17:5

God is depicting the anti-Christ not just as a woman, but as a harlot woman, as well as the mother of harlots.  To understand why God uses the harlot as a symbolism of the anti-Christ you need to go to the Book of Exodus.

Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a-whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice unto their gods, and one call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice.  Exodus 34:15

What God means by a-whoring, and from it his depiction of the anti-Christ as a whore, is that its religion, and its practices are in direct opposition to the worship of God as God has commanded, therefore all who worship God in any way other than as he has commanded that he be worshiped, God considers as whores or that they are going a-whoring.

We know from our study of the Book of Daniel that the anti-Christ starts out as the Church of Rome, otherwise known as the Roman Catholic Church, and historically we know that several churches have pulled away from their mother.  These churches refer to themselves as the Protestant churches.  The reason God is symbolizing the anti-Christ as a harlot woman, and the mother of harlots, is to show us that these churches, though they give lip service to Jesus and his teachings, because of their pagan rituals and practices, (such as the Sunday Sabbath), which do not conform to how God commands that he be worshiped as given in the first four of the Ten Commandments, that they retained from the mother church, make them no better than the mother, that they are a-whoring after paganisms which is an aspect of being the anti-Christ, just as the Roman Catholic church is.

Second Purpose

The second reason why God shows the anti-Christ as a woman is for the purpose of showing that the anti-Christ is a global religion as well.  In other words, the anti-Christ begins as a small nation, and then over time evolves into an Imperial power, and then over time it evolves into a worldwide religion.  The anti-Christ is a substitute religion that Satan uses to replace the true worship of God.  This can be shown in the following.

And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:  Revelation 12:1

This verse shows a woman who is the true Church of God, or the Church of Christ.  This is given support from the following.

And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Revelation 12:17

The key phrase here is, (remnant of her seed,) in that this woman is the church of Christ, therefore the remnant are those who are of the Church of Christ, which is verified by the fact that this verse refers to them as “which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ,or the Saints of God.  The reason God is revealing the Protestant religions as the harlot daughters is to show us that because of their inequities, such as the keeping of the Sunday Sabbath, they are as much a part of Satan’s false church as is the anti-Christ itself, thereby making the Protestant Churches that have retained the pagan customs and traditions of the Church of Rome, part of the world wide anti-Christ religion as well.

If you think about it, isn’t it strange that Protestants, who profess to go by the literal words of the Bible and the Bible only, are demanding Sunday observance and trying to prop up the Sunday “Blue Laws”?  Catholics find it “laughable,” because there is no scriptural support for this staunch stand.  The Sunday Sabbath is observed by Catholics because they have declared that they are not beholden to Scripture, they give Tradition precedence over the Word of God, just as the Pharisees and other Temple Elders did, which Jesus condemned.

There is nowhere in the Bible where God or Jesus gives command or instructions that the first day of the week, (Sunday) as being the Lord’s Holy Day, however in Genesis Chapter 2, God tells us that he “Blessed” the seventh day, then he tells us that he “Sanctified” the seventh day of the week, (Saturday); then in Exodus Chapter 20, God gives us command that we “Remember” the Sabbath Day, not the observance of the Sabbath, but the day of the Sabbath.

The word “Sabbath” essentially means, “The Lord’s Holy Day,” which means that the word Sabbath is the name that God gave to the seventh day of the week.  Just as we call the seventh day of the week “Saturday,” and the first day of the week “Sunday,” because of Satan’s influence upon Man; God however, first named the seventh day of the week “Sabbath.”

Yet, many Protestants have told me, “What differences does it make?  At least I’m taking a day to worship the Lord!”  Others have told me, “I keep every day holy, or I give worship to God every day of the week.”  It is fine if you wish to give worship every day of the week, but God has commanded that we treat the “Seventh Day” with reverence, in the above I have shown how God looks upon the seventh day of the week as a special day from all other days of the week.  To give worship but then to disobey God’s command is to worship in vain.  God has told us how we are to worship him in the following.

Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish aught from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you. Deuteronomy 4:2

The component missing from the reasoning of the Protestants is that God blessed and sanctified the day, not the rest.  And God’s definition of keeping a day holy (Exodus 20:8-11) is to cease all secular work, refrain from buying and selling, (Nehemiah 10:31, 13: 15, 22), and to focus on Him as our delight, rather than worldly pleasures.  (Isaiah 58:13-14)

No one can keep every day holy in the eyes of the Lord!  More importantly, only God can bless and sanctify a day, declaring it to be sacred to Him, as he did with the Sabbath, calling it “My Holy Day.”

Did God intend His Sabbath to be a mere religious observance?  NO!  He created it to be a day to celebrate our relationship with Him.  The day is an outward symbol of whom we recognize as the supreme authority over our lives.  This is given support in the following.

And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, “Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, ‘Verily my Sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the Lord that doth sanctify you.  Ye shall keep the Sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: everyone that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.” Exodus 31:12-14

Then God gives explanation as to the reason why the keeping of the Seventh Day Sabbath is so important.

Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord: whosoever doeth any work in the Sabbath Day, he shall surely be put to death.  Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.  It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed. Exodus 31:15-16

The Apostle Paul

The Apostle Paul has a word of warning for us concerning the keeping the Seventh Day Sabbath a holy day.

Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to tradition of men, and not according to Christ. Colossians 2:8

Remember, the perfect lie, is 90% truth and 10% lie, the perfect lie is the one that best confuses the truth by giving it the sound of the truth, but is not the full truth.

For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments.  And His commandments are not burdensome.  For whatever is born of God overcomes the world.  And this is the victory that has overcome the world, our faith. 1 John 5:3-4

To have “Faith” is to believe that the Word of God is true, that if God spoke it, it will come to pass, if God promises something, the promise will be fulfilled.

The following is what God has given to me, as a way of seeing through Satan’s Lies; perhaps it will be of use to you as well.

God’s Truism

If God spoke it, then you will find it in the Holy Gospel,

If God spoke it, then it is the truth,

It is the truth, because it is of God,

It is of God, because God spoke it.

If God did not speak it, then you will not find it in the Holy Gospel,

If God did not speak it, then it is a lie,

It is a lie, because it is not of God,

It is not of God, because God did not speak it.
